Welcome
As the Illustrious Potentate of Almas Shriners, I would like to welcome you to our website. This site was developed to provide information about who we are and what we are all about. I also welcome you to contact us and come meet us.
Almas Shriners was chartered on June 14, 1886. During that time, we have been honored to count as our members, men of character who have helped to shape, not only our city, but our nation as well. Pictures of some of these men hang in our Memorial Room at our Temple located at 1315 K Street, NW, Washington, DC.
Presently, Almas Shriners offers it's members the opportunity to participate in several Clubs and Units that are described elsewhere on this site. These Clubs and Units not only hold social events and participate in parades throughout each year, but they also help, aid and assist in the purpose of our fraternity, that being, the support of the Shriner's Hospital for Children. We always remember, "No man stands so tall as when he bends down to help a child."
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Any additional information can be obtained by contacting us at 202-898-1688 or almas-shriners@verizon.net.
